Finished size: hat circumference approx. 18" and will stretch to 20"
Materials: 2 balls Scozia Print (50 grams); US 10 (6mm) and US 10.5 (7mm) 16" circular needles, US 10.5 double point needles
Gauge: 3.25 sts = 1" over stockinette stitch on US 10.5 needle or size to get gauge
Instructions:
Using US 10 needle cast on 68 sts and work in K2, P2 rib for 5". Change to US 10.5 needle and continue in st st for another 3" or until piece measures approx. 8" from beg edge.
Shape Top
Change to double points when necessary
Next row (dec): K2, (K4, k2tog) 11 times. (57 sts)
Work 3 rnds.
Next row (dec): K2, (K3, K2tog) 11 times. (46 sts)
Work 2 rnds.
Next row (dec): K2 (K2, K2tog)11 times. (35 sts)
Next row (dec): K2 (K1, K2tog) 11 times. (24 sts)
Next row (dec): K1, (K2tog) 12 times. (12 sts)
Next row (dec); K2 tog to end. (6 sts)
Break yan and pull through remaining sts. Fasten off.
