Lenox Store Hours and Location
Our physical store is located in the historic village of Lenox in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, a favorite year around tourist destination for cultural and sport activities. Lenox is easily accessible from Route 7, the Massachusetts Turnpike and the New York State Thruway. Click here to take a virtual tour of the store and for help with directions. Colorful Stitches is open Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 5:30 pm, Saturday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday, 12:00 to 4:00 pm Eastern Time. We are closed on Tuesday. During July and August, Colorful Stitches is open every day.
We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. Items are charged to your credit card when they ship. If you are making a purchase from outside the United States and Canada, we accept only international money orders in US currency at this time.
Orders placed online are encrypted using SSL technology and only we can decode it. Your information can be entrusted to arrive privately and unaltered to our server. If you still have any concerns about ordering electronically, you can place your order by phoning 800-413-6111 Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time. Please note that email is not encrypted and is not a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers and we will never ask for sensitive information via email.
Online prices are in US currency. We make every attempt to have consistent pricing throughout our website and our store. Occasionally we may offer special prices that are exclusive to our website. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Yarn and buttons are not subject to sales tax within the state of Massachusetts. Residents of Massachusetts pay 5% sales tax on all other items. Orders shipped to addresses outside of Massachusetts are not charged sales tax.
We make every attempt to ship your order promptly, with most in-stock items shipping within 24 hours of placing your order. When items are temporarily out-of-stock you will be alerted by email to any shipping delay. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. In the United States we ship UPS Ground Insured so please provide a street address since UPS cannot deliver to a post office box. Orders shipped to APO, FPO, US territories, Canada and all other international destinations are shipped by United States Postal Service. For international orders we only ship to the billing address of your credit card. Please note that customs and brokerage fees may apply to overseas shipments and are not our responsibility.
We do offer expedited and overnight shipping. Additional charges will be added to your regular shipping. We cannot expedite deliveries outside of the continental United States.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase you may return it for store credit excluding shipping charges. When returning or exchanging purchases the customer must pay for all shipping costs associated with the return. To insure proper credit your original receipt must accompany your return. Your merchandise credit is redeemable at any time. No returns or exchanges are permitted after 120 days from date of purchase. Returns are permitted for only regular-priced yarn. No returns are permitted on sale or special-ordered yarns, yarns from kits, and non-yarn items. All returns must be in unused, resalable condition. If any item or items are damaged in shipping we will happily replace them. We will also reimburse any shipping costs incurred when returning the damaged item or items. We will ship replacement items at no cost. If you have any questions about whether to return an item, please Contact Us before shipping it to us.
Please send your returns in a securely wrapped package, insured, to Colorful Stitches, PO Box 2278, 48 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240. We do not accept C.O.D. returns.
Gift Certificate Redemption
Gift Certificates can be purchased online and in store and can be redeemed either online or in our Lenox Store at any time and on any item. The amount of your gift certificate will be applied to your order when it is charged out. Should your purchase amount exceed the amount of the certificate, the balance due will be charged to another form of payment.
Colorful Stitches respects your privacy. We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information including your address, email, or accounting information to any other entity. We only use the information you provide to process orders, to enhance your shopping experience, and to communicate timely information about new products, sales and special promotions, instructional workshops and events.
When you make a purchase online, we collect your billing and shipping addresses, credit card number and email address to use to process your order, streamline future orders and communicate with you if necessary. This information is collected using encryption technology to prevent any third party from intercepting this information.
When you provide us with your email address we may send you emails to help in processing your order, to respond to a request, to provide you with advance notice of sales and promotions, and to give you information about new products, instructional workshops and events. If you would like to be removed from our email list, please follow the instructions sent along with each email or contact us and we will remove your email address from our list as soon as possible. Please recognize that you may receive another email before we are able to remove you. We will not share, trade, rent or sell your email address to any other companies.

Product Availability and Display
Colorful Stitches makes every attempt to select distinctive items for you to enjoy. Please understand that some of these items are available in limited quantities and fulfilling an order may require up to 4 to 6 weeks. Some items may not be available once quantities are exhausted. You will be informed by email when quantities are exhausted or when there will be a delay in shipping your order. All products shown on our website are available for purchase in our Lenox Store.
We have made every effort to display the items on this website as accurately as possible. The display and color capabilities of your monitor may affect the colors you see when viewing our website. We cannot be responsible for your monitor’s performance.
